New shiny paper!

I just got some new shiny paper! And was happily surprised to find out my watercolours worked on it just fine. Life is good.

Last week of school

So, it is the last week of school and I thought I might just post some photos my twin and I have been taking. Random things, art, people and....things.

Should be revising.....

I am aware that I should be doing Exam revision, but I am a procrastinator. Which means I spend my time doodling on my precious Bamboo tablet. Like this:

What I'm reading

What I'm Reading...
Smokin' Seventeen by Janet Evanovich
I just finished reading the seventeenth installment of Evanovich's Stephanie Plum series, and I did like it. However, I was mildly disappointed by the ending. There is a huge lead up, two bad guys and a new guy who everyone thinks she should marry. But...the ending! The ending is about two pages long and is resolved in one sentence!
I've been reading the Stephanie Plum series since the tenth book came out, and I've always really loved them. I can relate to Stephanie because she's not perfect or beautiful or arrogant, but because she's an ordinary woman doing an un-ordinary job. Bounty Hunting!
I still recall reading the first book and not knowing what the hell a Bounty Hunter was, I thought it had something to do with the chocolate:
But was pleasantly surprised when it was nothing like that.
Janet Evanovich writes with quick action and witty dialogue and leaves you grinning like an idiot after each chapter. I loved Smokin' Seventeen, but, as I mentioned earlier, the ending left me feeling unsatisfied.
Great novel overall, and I look forward to the next one.

What I'm reading

What I'm Reading...

I've recently just finished reading Prince Of Thorns by Mark Lawrence.
It was a really awesome book! Very gritty and harsh, but at the same time you can't help but relate and get invested in the characters, Jorg especially.

I says thumbs up for Mark Lawrence, because I stayed up all night reading the novel and loved every moment of it. Here's the sypnosis:

When he was nine, he watched his mother and brother killed before him. By the time he was thirteen, he was the leader of a band of bloodthirsty thugs. By fifteen, he intends to be king...

It's time for Prince Honorous Jorg Ancrath to return to the castle he turned his back on, to take what's rightfully his. Since the day he was hung on the thorns of a briar patch and forced to watch Count Renar's men slaughter his mother and young brother, Jorg has been driven to vent his rage. Life and death are no more than a game to him-and he has nothing left to lose.

But treachery awaits him in his father's castle. Treachery and dark magic. No matter how fierce, can the will of one young man conquer enemies with power beyond his imagining?

Weekend at Nan's.

Well, not really the weekend, but two days at my Nan's house with no laptop or internet.
We went for walks on the beach and fed the magpies, it was nice and relaxing. At first it was really frustrating not having the internet, but after two weeks of worrying about my homework and spending all my time on it, I suppose it was good to have a break. I like spending time with Nan, she's always worried about us being hungry or bored.

It was great :)
